What HookRow is

HookRow is an independent publication covering Crochet — free patterns, stitch and technique tutorials, sizing and yardage references, and honest yarn and hook comparisons. Every page is written to answer one specific question properly rather than to fill space.

How we research and write

Yarn weight, hook size, gauge and yardage are checked against the designer's own pattern page, and that page is credited and linked. The method is explained in our own words; the designer's row-by-row pattern stays on their site. Patterns use US crochet terms unless a guide says otherwise, and articles are revisited when something changes. Where a figure is an estimate, we say so instead of presenting it as measured.

Editorial standards

Advertising, affiliate links and gifted yarn are always labelled and never influence a verdict. Free patterns by other designers are linked to their original page, never reproduced here. If we get something wrong, we correct the article and note what changed.
